Marrakech to Ourika Valley Day Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – Ourika Valley – Marrakech
Duration: 3 hours drive
Embark on a journey from Marrakech to the picturesque Ourika Valley waterfalls, where lush green hillsides, Berber villages, and rolling hills await your exploration. Along the way, rivers meander through the valley, offering ample opportunities to capture stunning landscape shots.
Our route includes stops at typical Berber villages, providing insight into the daily lives of the local people. As we venture deeper into the valley, we approach the mountainous passes of the Atlas range, culminating in a visit to Setti Fatma. Here, numerous waterfalls, both small and large, dot the landscape, some less frequented by tourists.
Prepare for a short hike to the Setti Fatma Cascades, where hiking boots are recommended. Swimwear and sunblock are also advised, as there may be opportunities to cool off in the small pools formed at the base of the waterfalls. Additionally, bring a change of clothing to combat the spray from the waterfalls, and warm attire for the cooler temperatures in the communal society town of Sti Fadma, especially in summer.
While bringing a packed lunch is recommended, there are cafes and restaurants available in the Berber villages along our route. However, the most essential item to bring is your camera to capture this unforgettable experience.
After exploring the Setti Fatma waterfalls, we’ll return to Marrakech via the same route, with an estimated arrival back in the city around 5:00 p.m.
**Included:**
– Hotel/Hostel Pickup and drop-off at your accommodation or the main square
– Modern AC transportation with an English-speaking driver
**Not Included:**
– Lunch & beverages
– Local guide
